 Welcome to the VFW Post 2083 Website

 Our Post is located in East Hartford, Connecticut.

Meetings are held at 19:00 on the first Wednesday of each month at the Machinist's Union Hall, located at 357 Main Street in East Hartford.

Use the rear (parking lot) entrance. Ring the doorbell and wait for the door buzzer. The Post meeting is held in the room directly across the lounge area from the entry stairs.

Members of Post 2083 will be placing graveside flags at Center Cemetery in East Hartford on Saturday, 2 November 2019. Flags are places at the headstones or markers of fallen comrades. We welcome anyone who wants to assist in this annual effort. post members will be arriving by 08:00.
The cemetery is located at 944 East Main Street, East Hartford, CT. Access is from the Elm Street Gate. To get there, turn off Main Street onto Central Ave. (just before the Library building). Follow Central Ave. to the end, where it curves to the left and becomes Elm St. The Cemetery will be on your left.

As part of Goodwin College's Veteran's Day celebration, the College is hosting the dedication of the Fallen Star Memorial.  The Ceremony will be held at the College at 13:00 (1 PM) on Saturday, 9 November 2019.
