12th Annual Iron Hornet Obstacle Race
On Thursday, May 23rd, East Hartford High School will be hosting its 12th annual "Iron Hornet" event.
The "Iron Hornet," is an obstacle style race open to all EHHS staff, students and alumni. The event will run from approximately 2:20-4:00 p.m. Registration for alumni will be available at 2:00 pm.
A special ceremony will be held at 2:30 pm to honor families of missing in action Veterans from Vietnam, Edward Bishop and Andre Guillet, and also to honor Vietnam Veteran Jack Cavanaugh for his courageous service to our country.
Heather Viveiros, president and founder of Give2Those, which honors Veterans and their families around the country, will be coming from Newton Massachusetts to present these Plaques of Honor. Come and help us honor these heroes.
All proceeds from this annual event will be donated to the local Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter. Anyone who wishes to make a donation to the event can send their donation payable to:
